Changes

The archetypal image of a house represents the human need to create layers of protection to feel safe. The house swells and deflates at will, even exploding, causing what seems like a safe place to change and transform into something unstable, making us feel vulnerable.

The piece consists of a metal structure with a custom-sewn lycra cover; inside is a giant latex balloon connected to a mechanism for inflating and deflating it.
