Tide

This collection explores the mobile nature of memories, like the rise and fall of the tide. The pieces have a sense of rhythm and movement, reflecting the changing balance between the past and the present. In this work I have used shells, coral, pearls, antique ribbon, silver and brass. The sea lies beneath, materials evoke rebirth, protection and connection with the past. Through this combination of precious and non-precious materials, "Marea" contemplates personal stories and reflects on the transformation of nature and memories, inviting the viewer to discover their own connection.
